“The language is getting MUCH improved.
What is needed now is to stop calling things “stuff”. Try upping the bar a bit to use the actual specific technical terms for what something is. For example: It is obvious to me (a 26 year software vet) that doing a “rails db:migrate” is really running database scripts that execute again the database, setting up the schema, which code will later access using various DB commands (e.g. SQL SELECT, UPDATE, and so on). Yes–I realize that most people taking this class are probably “noobs”, but–take the time to use the term and define it as you go. The faster they get to know the ACTUAL technical terms, the faster the noobs will end-off being noobs and start being programmers and software engineers. If people are scared off by the language and terms then perhaps they have chosen the wrong profession?” (Larry Rix)
“Great Course, I understand almost those code” (Harry Nguyen)
“This course was pretty amazing, John is a very attentive guy and doesn’t let us without replies. Always trying to make us think how to fix the problem on our own and at the same time give us all his support.
About the course, I think the content is pretty fair and it helped to introduce me to Ruby on Rails. The methodology creating a such a nice project helped to go beyond the Ruby on Rails and showed up a bit of BitBucket, S3 Amazon and Bootstrap.
It was really cool!
I do recommend this course.” (Dyego Turl)
